Holy. Chengdu's still quaking away today. Just had a 5.something quake there. Haha, my friends in Chengdu have been running around whenever they feel the earth vibrating. Now they're at some villa in some rural place. Flat garden paradise = no danger of falling buildings I guess.

Rescue workers have officially reached the epicentre - Wenchuan county. Friends say it's really bad there, to the extent that the whole county is destroyed. No such place labelled Wenchuan county on the map anymore. Half of the county exists on a mountain, so when the quake happened, landslides and collapsing bits of mountain enveloped the entire county. 60,000 people are missing. Mostly likely buried 3m under the mud/rocks. Horrible stuff.

But I guess something to be happy for is how the Chinese government is reacting to the whole thing. This New York Times article speaks for itself.
